SAILING IN SVALBARD ISLANDS

Sailing aboard the RV Kingfish is the essential experience for visiting Spitsbergen. This trip focuses in particular along the West National Park where it will be possible to admire extraordinary arctic landscapes, glaciers and cliffs populated by colonies of birds that migrate here every summer.

Beyond the 76° parallel North, Arctic Circle, there is a magical place, populated by incredible and unique animals, where you can admire the midnight sun, with the nights illuminated by day, and if luck will assist us we could also see the King of the Arctic: the polar bear. Our landings will give you close encounters with both Arctic wildlife and ghost towns of whalers, arctic hunters and miners. Visiting different and fascinating settlements such as Barentsburg, Longyearbyen or Ny Ålesund is a fundamental part of a trip to Spitsbergen. RV Kingfish has an international crew with years of experience in the polar regions. 

The official language on board is English but we have guides French and Italian speakers.

Sailing aboard the RV Kingfish is the essential experience for visiting Spitsbergen. This trip is particularly concentrated along the West National Park where it will be possible to admire extraordinary arctic landscapes, glaciers and cliffs populated by colonies of birds that migrate here every summer. If weather and sea conditions permit, we will try to reach the 80th parallel, visible in the open sea only in this place on earth.

INCLUDED IN THE TOUR:

• 5 days and 4 nights as scheduled on board in double cabin, internal, with twin/ bunk beds and private facilities w/ensuite shower;

• Breakfast and lunch on buffet every day onboard;
  

• 2 course dinner (3 course dinner on the firewell dinner);

• free coffee/tea and pastry available daily;

• landings by rubber dinghy;

• transfers and visits as per program;

• All the equipment for safety and rescue;

ON REQUEST:

• Accommodation in single internal / external cabin with private facilities (+40%);

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR:

• international flights to/from Longyearbyen;

• pre or post nights in Longyearbyen (price from 3500,-kr/person per night w72 course dinner included)

• airport fees;

• some meals, drinks and tips;
