SAILING IN SVALBARD ISLANDS

Sailing aboard the S/V Linden is the essential experience for visiting Spitsbergen. This trip focuses in particular along the West National Park where it will be possible to admire extraordinary arctic landscapes, glaciers and cliffs populated by colonies of birds that migrate here every summer.

Beyond the 76th parallel north, Arctic Circle, there is a magical place, populated by incredible and unique animals, where you can admire the midnight sun, with the nights illuminated by day, and if luck will assist us we could also see the King of the Arctic: the polar bear. Our landings will give you close encounters with both Arctic wildlife and ghost towns of whalers, arctic hunters and miners. Visiting different and fascinating settlements such as Barentsburg, Longyearbyen or Ny Ålesund is a fundamental part of a trip to Spitsbergen. S/V Linden has Scandinavian crew with years of experience in the polar regions. 

The official language on board is English. On board there are French and Italian speaking guides

Sailing aboard the S/V Linden is the essential experience for visiting Spitsbergen. This trip is particularly concentrated along the West National Park where it will be possible to admire extraordinary arctic landscapes, glaciers and cliffs populated by colonies of birds that migrate here every summer. If weather and sea conditions permit, we will try to reach the 80th parallel, visible in the open sea only in this place on earth.

INCLUDED IN THE TOUR:

  • 6 nights as scheduled on board in double cabin, internal, with bulck bed and shared toilets);

  • 2 nights in Hotel 4**** in Longyerbyen pre and post voyage;

  • accommodation in the hotels indicated or similar with Scandinavian bed and breakfast treatment;
